From Capt.Spyder:

Well Ladies and Gentlemen; I believe the time has come…
Due to time restrictions and work schedule, I am unable to attend practices and matches for the team – so I have made one the hardest choices I have ever made – Its time to retire.

I have served with the creators and founders of this team since a few months after its conception, and have been proud to call them my friends, as well as all of you that I have served next to in the original Tubetti, and numerous other matches against the many teams in Novaworld. I have seen good people come and go throughout my time serving with this fine team, and have had the opportunity to learn quite a few things from my experiences with everyone. I have also had the chance to serve as one of our webmasters, and have learned a great deal serving that role; and have met a lot of friends in the various rooms on Novaworld - the members of BAM, MEOW, AD to name a few as well as other acquaintances from many other teams, all helping me to become a better player. Most of all, I want to thank all of the members of NBK for allowing me the opportunity to play with an outstanding group of players and friends. You are to be congratulated one and all for the honest hard work and energy you have put into this team and the reputation that follows it.

I have something I would like to say to the newer players of the team:

Listen to the people playing around you, and to the people training you in boot kamp. They know what they are talking about and they will help make you a caliber of player higher than any other group can. They know what they do and they do it well.

My only regret is not being able to see the team grow from where it is now, but let me say this – it’s going to be hard growing from where NBK is now, one of the greatest teams Novaworld has and ever will see. Honesty, Integrity, and Sportsmanship is all I have know with the players on this team, and I am honored and proud to call you all my friends.

I salute you all.

Just remember this though; when you're out there on the battlefield and you feel that little twinge…that funny feeling in the back of your mind…when you feel the hair raising up on the back of your neck, don’t worry. That’s just me pulling the trigger…
Regards to all of you, my fine and honored teammates,
Cpt. Spyder

~NBK~ forever!

From LtCol.Moogle:

"Id definitely say that my stay with the NBK was a veeery interesting one. I first met the general running about in a DF2 swamp during a Co-op mission. He talked to me about the squad and the need for a web page. Shortly after my computer crashed. After rebooting it I rejoined the mission and a bit of confusion ensued, mostly due to the fact that I had accidentally logged in with  different name. After meeting both the General, and Evans (Colonel Evans at the time) I volunteered to start a web page for the squad, because, from what I heard, they were kind of struggling in that department. So I sat down, and drew up some designs: well, whenever I wasn't sniping AIs, or getting killed by about every human player on DF2 (melee was definitely my weak point). After about 2 weeks, I had a beta page up, nothing spectacular, it was a clean console design *I tried to fit as much info into as little space as possible* This had its advantages, and its drawbacks, mostly drawbacks though.

But, as the months progressed, something really began to take shape, With Vanilla and the Colonel rapidly killing people and inviting them into the squad, and myself trying to keep our shot little page up-to-date, from which people could read the rules, and apply for admission, we saw some startling results. The squad seemed to really take off. Time passed, and I fought, and died, and updated the page again and again. But some months later, my grades began to slip, I knew the only way that I could recover, and it wasn't a choice easily made. At the time, a majority of my time spent at home was on the web page, and fighting with the squad, I tried to balance it at first. My grades recovered, but the site was falling greatly behind, and I hadn't been in a game for some quite long time. It was then that I learned of Spyder, quite possibly the perfect person to take over the web page, he had a college degree in the business which was certainly an improvement on my status of High school junior.

After Handing the web page over to Spyder, I knew things were in good hands, and since I had no time to play DF2, I decided it was time to pursue work at school more seriously. I spoke with Imortl (Tom was always great to talk to), Evans, and Vanilla, and after settling things, I wrote my letter of Resignation, and added a little "Ret." Tag to messenger.

In a story with a happy ending, I watched as a squad grew from infancy to a great machine, and I am now enrolled as a freshman in college, with 3 hours of credit already, and a standing 4.0 average. The guys here at NBK made a difference in my life, one I wont soon forget.

Thank you all.
